Curriculum vitae

Xenia Zingg is studying sociology and philosophy at the University of Zürich. She is especially interested in the interaction of language and social reality, interdisciplinarity, and participatory research methods. She is working towards applying feminist and decolonial philosophies and sociologies of science to knowledge production and exploring the transfer and distribution of knowledge inside and outside the academic sphere. In her Bachelor thesis, Xenia is studying how sex workers in Switzerland experience epistemic injustice. Both in her Bachelor thesis and in her work within the Humanities in Mental Health research group she is particularly curious about the strategies utilized by different groups of people in dealing with the interplay of self and outsider identification and its impact on social reality. As academic assistant, she is co-working on the development of a module on mental health for the Swiss Database of Individual Patients’ Experiences (DIPEx).
