Josef Schuh studied biophysics in Frankfurt a.M. (D) as well as philosophy and medicine in Vienna (A).

In his medical thesis at the Department of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Vienna, he examined the relationship between the capacity to love, personality and aggression. Currently, he works as a psychiatric resident at the University Hospital of Psychiatry.

In his postgraduate research, he has a keen interest in the intersection between psychoanalysis and phenomenology.
