Julian Hofmann is a research assistant and PhD student at the Chair of the History of Philosophy (Saporiti) at the University of Zurich. He also works as a clinical psychologist in the outpatient crisis intervention center of the Psychiatric University Hospital Zürich (PUK) and is undergoing postgraduate training in psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytical Seminar Zürich (PSZ).

His research interests lie at the intersection between Psychology and Philosophy and are mainly focused on conceptual and qualitative approaches. In his PhD-thesis he examines meaning-theoretical aspects of basic psychoanalytic concepts with special reference to modern approaches in the philosophy of language.
