Dr. Milan Scheidegger, head of the junior research group Psychedelic Research & Therapy Development, has been awarded with a grant of the Fonds für wissenschaftliche Zwecke im Interesse der Heilung von psychischen Krankheiten (19,900 CHF) for his project "Brain topological markers of depression and effects of antidepressant drug ketamine on the topology of brain evolution" by the Fonds für wissenschaftliche Zwecke im Interesse der Heilung von psychischen Krankheiten. Together with Dr. Berit Singer, he tests a novel paradigm that overcomes the shortcomings of previous attempts to extract spatiotemporal features in brain activity underlying psychological functions and mental health disorders.
