Curriculum vitae

Apurva completed her masters in Life Sciences from University of Mumbai, India. Her professional experience encompasses working on various MRI techniques such as fMRI, VBM, DTI as well as in-vitro NMR spectroscopy in rodents and in humans. Her PhD research focuses on understanding emotion regulation in depression patients using real-time fMRI based closed-loop amygdala neurofeedback and it's potential as a therapeutic intervention in clinical population. Further, she is interested in studying neurofeedback induced alterations in emotion perception ability of the depression patients and the behavioural changes associated with it using facial electromyography (fEMG).
