Curriculum vitae

Etna Engeli studied neuropsychology and psychopathology in Bern, Zurich and Berlin. Within her master’s thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences Leipzig, she studied the influence of affective disposition on empathic brain response to aversive stimuli and its plasticity. She was involved in different neuropharmacological and psychotherapeutic studies at the University of Zurich and Bale. Currently, she is investigating the glutamatergic plasticity of the reward circuitry in addiction and its interplay with drug desire.
