Developing and applying state of the art MR acquisition and data analysis methodologies is a crucial prerequisite for generating high quality imaging and spectroscopy data and results. Our focus is on implementing new methodologies for evaluating functional and structural imaging data and to improve MR spectroscopy acquisition techniques.
Furthermore, we develop fMRI-based neurofeedback techniques which makes information about brain activity accessible to our consciousness. This kind of feedback allows to learn voluntarily control over the own brain activity. Patients can use this technique to learn to normalize dysfunctional patterns of brain activity that are associated with their disorder.
